Quality Education to the Global Diaspora in Ghana
The Ghana Diaspora Advocacy and Resource (GDAAR) Foundation is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote the development of Ghana through the engagement of the global Ghanaian diaspora. One of the Foundation’s key priorities is to improve access to quality education for Ghanaians living abroad.
There are a number of challenges that Diaspora living in Ghana and Ghanaians living abroad face when it comes to accessing quality education in Ghana. One challenge is the cost of tuition. Ghanaian universities are generally less expensive than universities in other parts of the world, but the cost of living in Ghana can be high, making it difficult for some Diasporas and Ghanaians to afford to send their children to school here.
Another challenge is the quality of education. Some Ghanaian universities are not well-equipped to provide a quality education, and the quality of teaching can be uneven. This can make it difficult for Ghanaian students to keep up with their peers from other countries.
The GDAAR Foundation is working to address these challenges by providing scholarships to Ghanaians living abroad, supporting the development of new educational programs, and advocating for reforms to the Ghanaian education system.
The Foundation’s scholarship program provides financial assistance to Ghanaian students who are unable to afford to attend university in Ghana.
