Accra, Ghana – A non-profit organization, Ghana Diaspora Advocacy And Resource (GDAR ) Foundation, is hosting the Ghana Diaspora Dialogue 2023 on October 17, 2023, at the W.E.B. DuBois Centre in Accra. The event will bring together Ghanaians living in the diaspora ,diasporas living in Ghana and those who are considering returning to Ghana to discuss the challenges of reintegration and to find solutions.
GDAAR was founded in 2018 with the mission of facilitating the re-integration process for individuals, acknowledging the challenges and finding solutions. We strive to overcome housing, socio-cultural, spiritual, economic, and legal barriers, enabling everyone to achieve personal and business advancement in Ghana. By offering essential tools and resources, we empower individuals to successfully transition into Ghana society. Our ultimate mission is to make re-integration seamless and appealing for our members.
GDAAR currently has 2700 registered members and expects 200-250 in attendance at the Ghana Diaspora Dialogue Event. The event will feature a panel discussion with experts on reintegration, as well as breakout sessions on specific topics such as housing, education, and business. There will also be an opportunity for networking and socializing.
“We want to create a safe space for Ghanaians in the diaspora and diasporas in Ghana to share their experiences and to get the support they need to reintegrate into Ghana,” said GDAAR founder and Executive Director, Joseph Kwame Okyere Darko Bekoe . “We also want to connect them with resources and opportunities that will help them achieve their goals.”
The Ghana Diaspora Dialogue 2023 is a valuable opportunity for Ghanaians in the diaspora and diasporas in Ghana to learn from each other and to get the support they need to make a smooth transition back to Ghana. GDAAR is committed to making reintegration a success for everyone, and this event is a major step in that direction.
